On an unseasonably, blustery and wet day, the Band performed a selection of varied music inside on The Quarterdeck to the visitors at the BRNC Open Day on Saturday 15th July 2023. The Quarterdeck is a special venue with its high ceiling and galleries and all around landings, the sound resonates far and wide, adding to the acoustics in a unique way. From The Dambusters and Semper Fidelis to Hootenanny and Fantasia on British Sea Songs and its ever popular sailor's Hornpipe, our visitor audience which included folk of all ages and from all different backgrounds and of course, the BRNC staff and Officer Cadets all showed such huge appreciation, with their healthy rounds of applause following each piece we played. Thank you to everyone who came along to listen to us play, we had a fantastic day which was made all the better by your enthusiasm and support. We hope to see you all there again soon.
